Technostructures follows key principles when developing and supporting software to guarantee the protection and freedom of its' users.
Free Software
All source code is available under a FOSS license (Free and Open-Source). For a software to be considered decent it must be Free, but being free alone is not sufficient to make it decent.
Non-Commercial Software
Technostructures Software isn't built for amassing profit. Software built for advertising, selling data or around "freemium" business models will be refused.
Self-hosting
Web applications need to be easily deployable for a system administrator. Where relevant, different instances must be interoperable.
Encryption
Whenever possible, the best available standard of encryption must be used to protect user data.
Non-Addictive
Software should be built to serve the needs of its' users and not to trap them. No strategy should be in place to maximize the time someone is using it.
Accessibility
Software must be usable for everyone who needs it, both in terms of User Experience (UX) but also notably in terms of supporting users with different accessibility needs (for example visually impaired people).
